Liam Steward has been writing and recording music for a number of years now. Although known as the guitarist of local post-punk outfit Creatures of Habit, and most recently the vocalist and guitarist in The Black Lamps, Liam’s solo material is best described as moody left-field Pop and Rock with elements of Indie, Electronica, and Folk. Last year, his song Bird of Prey reached the semi-finals of the UK Songwriting Competition.
Following on from his 2012 full length album Losing The Tortoise Race, Liam has just released a new collaborative album with Lyndon Scarfe.
Lyndon was previously the keyboardist in an early incarnation of The Danse Society, and as well as being the guitarist in The Black Lamps, Lyndon also has produced a wealth of ambient electronica and drone over years and has re-mixed and re-worked a number of artists, local and international, under the name Dr Technical.
Here, on this new album titled “Outer Circular”, Lyndon Scarfe reworks selections from Liam Stewart’s solo body of work. Netlabel BlocSonic described the project as “a thoroughly enjoyable and inventive collection that easily stands on its own as a significant release in itself. Sequenced, phased, vocoded, synthed, reverbed, echoed… it’s now time for these Liam Stewart songs to also be rediscovered. Sit back, crank it and let the music wash over you.”

‘Outer Circular’ is out now on BlocSonic. You can find all relevant download links here > www.blocsonic.com/releases/show/outer-circular
