The Northern Young Artists collective launches its first exhibition of the year from its permanent project space at Redbrook Arts Space. The exhibition ‘Wake Up Call’ gives artists the opportunity working in any field to explore and test new concepts, ideas and unfinished works. We seek to open up dialogue between the artist and the audience to discuss, develop and influence the direction the works might take.
Wake Up Call showcases the work of artists Ash Barrow, Fiona Halliday, Julie Newton and Katarzyna Jablonska. The exhibition is a diverse mix of paintings, installation and performance.
The launch evening on Tuesday 25th, runs from 7-9pm and will include interactive performances by artist Scott D’Arcy and live entertainment from the band hausPlant.
Northern Young Artists is an enthusiastic collective of graduate artists and designers working across Yorkshire and the North of England. Eager to experiment, innovate and develop, the group has developed a supportive network for emerging artists and designers in the North.
Please note unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to the unit.
There is ample parking on site and regular buses from Barnsley Interchange.
