A local musician has put together a full day of music in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The benefit concert, called ‘Turn It Up’ takes place at the award winning Barnsley Rock and Blues Venue on Saturday 28th February and features some of the best local and regional Alternative Rock and Metal acts.
The event features a bill of nine bands, including the long-awaited return of Barnsley favorites Cocean. The stellar lineup also features Vogon, a band made up of ex-AndWhatArmy and Penguin members; Cavorts, The Lock & Keys, Mr Shiraz plus many more.
Organiser Ben Stubbs said, ‘Yorkshire Air Ambulance is without a doubt one of the most worthy charities in the region. They work hard saving lives 365 days a year and is fully funded by charitable donations. To see so many bands willing to give up their time for free is amazing and hopefully people will enjoy what will be a great day. I think most people will be coming for the return of Cocean but I dont think there is one bad band on the bill. I cant wait for it myself. This even will be the first of many for Air Ambulance.’
